Redwood Foyer
FOMC refurbished the Redwood Foyer of the Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium, with support from the Marin Arts Council, the County of Marin, and the Marin Symphony. In addition to attractive new bistro tables and bars, coordinated by Annie Bowman of Sunrise Interiors, the Foyer has been fitted with the lighting and hanging systems needed to display art on its walls. Not only does this make for a much more pleasant environment for intermissions and receptions, it makes it possible to offer a visual arts venue for such stunning shows as the Curley Collection.

Green Room
FOMC refurbished the Green Room, which is used for members-only intermission reception area and for meetings. The atrium has been re-landscaped to provide a natural tranquil setting. The room has been outfitted with furniture to match the style of the Redwood Foyer's renovation.

Friends of Marin Center Meeting Room
This room in the Exhibition Hall has been repainted with attractive deco edging and recarpeted to meet its many purposes for exhibitors, Marin Center staff and the FOMC Board of Directors.

The Meeting Room's new podium is a big improvement. FOMC's eminent public speaker and board member Henry Moody demon-strates as you roll over the image at left to see the difference.

The Showcase Theatre
New stage curtains, valances, carpeting and stairway lighting equipment make all the difference in this smaller venue.

Backstage Dressing Rooms
Most members will never see the improvement that Marin Center performers appreciate most: newly refurbished dressing rooms. The two large dressings rooms have been recarpeted. The four small dressing rooms have new carpet and couches. Imagine how much better a performance they will give after having a chance to relax on this snazzy diva-divine sofa!

FOMC will continue to enhance Marin Center with small improvements that make a big difference. But in order to fulfill the vision Frank Lloyd Wright originally had for Marin Center, a public and private partnership has been formed to develop and implement a complete renewal of the Marin Center complex. That partnership is the
Marin Center Rennaissance Project.

Dear Friends:

The management, staff and patrons of Marin Center would like to take this opportunity to thank Friends of Marin Center for its wonderful contributions to Marin Center this year.

Gone are the worn, dated and soiled sofas in the Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium dressing rooms.  Instead, we can proudly offer our entertainers sofas that are comfortable, clean and attractive.

Gone are the industrial folding tables in the Auditorium lobbies.  Replacing them are beautiful mission style tables and chairs that extend the ambience of the Redwood Foyer and Green Room.

With the additional of 13 new classroom style tables for our meeting rooms, we now have an improved ability to offer rental clients classroom-style furniture configuration for meetings and conferences.

We are very grateful for all you do to improve the Marin Center facility and to improve the lives of the citizens of Marin County .

Best regards,

Jim Farley                                                       Marion Boyd Director                                                   Deputy Director
