In 2004 FOMC members were invited to special events such as the Linda Ronstadt pre-performance barbeque sponsored by Outback Steakhouse in July, a trip to the Wine Country in October and members-only after-show receptions throughout the year. Members find these gatherings to be wonderful opportunities for both cultural enrichment and meeting other Friends who share similar interests.

    The Wine Country outing started with a gourmet picnic on the grounds of Roche Winery with wine donated by Roche. Then there was a tour of the Di Rosa Preserve’s amazing collection of art by Bay Area artists. FOMC members were able to chat with Mr. Di Rosa himself. The afternoon ended at Gloria Ferrer, sipping champagne and watching the sunset over the vineyards. What a special day!
